Just checked out the post, it was great. And so funny because as I write this I have a draft post on my iphone about style, how do we get it, how it changes and how to decorate once you find it. Most of the post is questions, mind you, not answers! OK to refer to your style post(s)?

Changing your style can happen several times in your decorating home life. Sure like what you've done so far. Love your furniture, linens, dishes, etc.
Don't know how many times I've changed mine, kind of depended on where I lived, what kind of house it was, having kids, lots of things.
I've been definitely influenced by blogs I've read since I started reading them. There's such a plethora of info out there and ideas to try. Since I make over what I have mostly it's not too expensive to try new ideas. Hubs makes things for me also.
When we lived in MT we started making country furniture pieces I saw in country decorating zines, would make our version of something we saw. We evolved to different kinds of pieces that sold very well. Then we moved to KY and the Western cowboy kinda look changed to more cottage due to the house we had. Still miss that house. Now we live in western CO and have changed my style once or twice more.
I've adapted some French stuff I made in our living room and sometimes those pieces get moved to other rooms. I get bored with the same look so move pieces around to have a fresh look. I enjoy the challenge of making things, redoing furniture to adapt to whatever style I'm liking at the time. Being able to sew, craft, paint, etc. have sure helped. Having a handy hubs sure helps also. Have fun with it, whatever makes you happy and content in your home. The more you experiment and try new styles the better you'll be able to identify what you really love. Happy Week.
