I Heart you, a Blogiversary, and a Winner

It's true, I heart you. And I've been hearting you a long time... really since the beginning 2 years ago when I first hit publish. And I really do heart you. Not like teenage girls say they heart you, and write it on their lockers, only to scratch out your name the next day when you don't notice their new shoes.

I really mean it, and I been hearting you from the very beginning. Back in the day. I remember when I just had one follower... ME. Then I added my mom as a follower (and I didn't even tell her.) Since she didn't look at my blog she had no idea she was endorsing me... none. Then it still looked like a paltry following, so I think I may have added my daughter also. (She too may have been a victim here, because I'm not sure I told her either.) But that's all in the past... out of sight out of mind... water under the bridge... the way we were.

I found an email from those early days recently and I saved it, because it made me smile. I had excitedly emailed my friend Peggy to let her know the BIG news. Yup, I was ALL THAT AND A BAG OF CHIPS and do you want to know why? Because I had 20 followers... ~~well 17 if you didn't count me, my mother or my daughter~~.

So if you hadn't come along, I would still just have 20 (~~okay 17~~) followers. I want to thank you and tell you truly that I heart you.

You have laughed with me, and cried with me. You have lifted me up, encouraged me, and affirmed me. You make me smile EVERY DAY. So it may be my blogiversary, but today I'm toasting you my dear friend. Cheers!
