You might have seen these chairs on my blog before.
The first thing I did was to recover them. I love toile, but wanted to use a neutral linen fabric, so I removed the black and white toile.
After stapling on the fabric, I trimmed the excess.
Next I tackled the paint job.
I used Annie Sloan's Chalk Paint in Old White, and then distressed the finish using sand paper and antiquing wax. You can also make your own chalk paint, with the recipe found here. The information on the wax I used can also be found at that link.
I love fabrics and paint, so when I get a project that includes both, I'm happy.
